He also did podcasts 'bout the AIDS epidemic and the juvenile justice system. That's real. But we gotta see if he keepin' it real now.
This dude wrote 'Drifting Toward Love,' 'bout Black, Brown, and gay folks comin' of age in NYC. So he got some perspective. But can he relate to what's goin' on in the streets now? That's the question.
Then there's Carter Sherman. She been coverin' gender, power, and politics for The Guardian, focusin' on abortion rights and justice. She used to be at Vice News, got some awards too. She wrote for Elle and Ms Magazine, so she definitely got a certain point of view. We gotta see if she can step outside that bubble.
She wrote a book called 'The Second Coming,' 'bout sex and the next generation. She talkin' 'bout how young folks navigatin' battles over sex, identity, and control since Roe got overturned. That's heavy. But is she really listenin' to what young folks sayin'?
'Stateside' is supposed to air Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. They want you to subscribe on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, all them places. They want that listenership, that influence. But what they gon' do with it?
