Aight, so M.I.A., fam, she got the axe from Kid Cudi's tour after she started runnin' her mouth on stage in Dallas. Now, I ain't gonna front, M.I.A. been droppin' bangers for years, speakin' truth to power and all that. But lately, somethin' been feelin' off, ya know?

She was up there talkin' 'bout bein' canceled for supportin' Republicans and somethin' 'bout her crew not gettin' visas. Then she hit us with the 'we should be above politics' line. Nah, sis, you can't have it both ways. You built your whole career on bein' political!

Then she hit IG with the 'I wrote 'Borders' and 'Illygal' and 'Paper Planes' before you thought immigrant rights were cool' line. Ok, we feel you, you been on that struggle. But that don't give you a pass to say whatever you want now.

I ain't mad at her for speakin' her mind, but sometimes it feels like she be reachin'. Like, she went from representin' refugees to soundin' like she sippin' that Kool-Aid. I ain't sayin' she sold out, but somethin' ain't hittin' the same, feel me?

And the visa situation, that's real, though. The system be messed up, keepin' folks out for no reason. But M.I.A. gotta understand, she got a platform. She gotta use it to uplift the community, not just drop conspiracy theories.

Robert Christgau called her early work an 'unbowed international underclass.' But now, some folks think she done bowed down. I ain't gonna judge her too hard, 'cause life be throwin' curveballs. But she gotta remember where she came from and who she representin'.
