Supreme Court 'Bout To Mess Around and Let 'Em Fry Folks Wit' Learning Disabilities
Alabama tryna change the rules so if you got one lil' IQ score above 70, you straight to the chair — that ain't right, fam.

Aight, listen up, cuz this ain't no joke. The Supreme Court 'bout to drop the hammer on some real shady sht with this Hamm v. Smith case outta Alabama. They playin' with people's lives, especially them brothas and sistas who ain't got the best hand dealt to 'em. We talkin' 'bout folks with learning disabilities, the ones who already strugglin' to navigate this messed up system. This Smith cat got a couple IQ scores that kinda low, but Alabama tryna say if any of 'em higher than 70, he good to go, straight to the death row. That's some straight-up bullsht.
Now, peep this: back in '02, the Supremes said you can't execute folks with intellectual disabilities, right? That was supposed to be the end of it. But nah, these states always lookin' for a loophole, tryna find a way to keep stackin' bodies. Alabama's pullin' some slick sh*t, tryin' to change the game so they can fry this dude. They sayin' one score above 70 means he ain't intellectually disabled? That's like sayin' one good day means you ain't got no problems. It don't work like that!
This ain't just about Smith, neither. This sets a precedent, ya dig? If Alabama gets away with this, other states gonna jump on the bandwagon, makin' it even easier to execute folks who ain't got the mental capacity to fully understand what's goin' on. We already know the system ain't fair, especially for Black and brown folks. They overrepresented on death row, more likely to give false confessions, and less able to help they lawyers. And now they tryna make it even harder for 'em to get a fair shake?
They done tried this before, too. Florida tried to set a strict IQ cutoff, but the court shut that down. Texas tried to act like Lennie from Of Mice and Men was a clinical expert, and they got smacked down too. But now, with this new court, who knows what's gonna happen? If they side with Alabama, it's gonna be a wrap for a lot of folks on death row. Edward Busby Jr. is scheduled to be executed in Texas on May 14, despite agreement from both defense and prosecution that he should not be. Sound like the system is preying on our brothas.
We gotta stay woke, y'all. This ain't just some legal mumbo jumbo; this is about life and death. They playin' chess with people's lives, and we gotta make sure they don't checkmate us all. Speak up, stand up, and let 'em know we ain't gonna let 'em get away with this mess. Keep it 100 — they tryna kill our people, plain and simple.
