USS Ford Back on Dry Land After 334 Days: Was It Worth the Bread?
Almost a whole year at sea? That's wild. Gotta wonder where the money really goin' and who's benefitin'.

Aight, so the USS Ford finally back, huh? 334 days out there. That's damn near a year. Real talk, that's too damn long, man. Folks missin' birthdays, graduations, all types of family time. For what tho?
They talkin' 'bout all this new tech, EMALS and AAG, makin' it sound all fancy and futuristic. But if it takes that long to do one deployment, somethin' ain't right. Seems like they still workin' out the kinks, and we payin' for it with our tax dollars and peoples' time.
And let's be real, all this military spending, where that money really goin'? Gotta be connectin' the dots, man. Who's gettin' rich off these contracts? Whose pockets gettin' lined while folks back home strugglin' to make rent? It ain't the sailors, that's for sure.
They sayin' it's 'bout protectin' our interests' and 'deterrence.' But what 'bout protectin' us right here at home? What 'bout investin' in our communities, fixin' these schools, and creatin' real opportunities? Seems like we always got money for war, but never enough for the people.
Gotta think 'bout the mental toll, too. Bein' away from your family that long, the stress of the job, the isolation... that stuff messes you up. They need to be puttin' more resources into mental health care for these vets and active duty soldiers. Can't just send 'em out there and forget about 'em when they come back.
This ain't no diss to the soldiers themselves. They doin' what they gotta do, followin' orders. But the system itself is messed up. Gotta question the priorities, man. Gotta demand more accountability and transparency.
It's like, they buildin' these fancy-ass boats, but can't even fix the potholes in the streets back home. The government is high, for real, and the tax payers are getting shafted.
I'm just sayin', gotta keep it 100. Gotta look at the bigger picture and see who's really winnin' and who's losin'. 'Cause from where I'm standin', it ain't the folks in the hood.
Gotta make sure these soldiers are getting the resources they need when they return home. Job training, housing assistance, healthcare. These cats sacrificed a lot for us. The least we can do is make sure they land on their feet. Too often, they end up homeless and forgotten. That ain't right, man. That's just wrong.
So next time you see that big boat, remember who paid for it and who's really benefitin'. And ask yourself, is it really worth it? Or could that money be used to build somethin' better, somethin' that actually helps the people?
Peace out, but keep ya eyes open. No cap.
