Wizards Got the #1 Pick: Bout Time, But Don't Mess This Up!
After years of pain, the Wiz finally catch a break, but they gotta pick right and stop playin' these DC fans.
Aight, so the Wizards done won the lottery, finally. They get the #1 pick. It's been a long time comin', man. Since John Wall back in '10. Wall was even up there representin', like he could bring some luck. After that season when Bam Adebayo dropped 83 on they head, the worst record in the league at 17-65, they HAD to get sumthin’.
They was tied with Brooklyn and Indiana with a 14% chance. 14 percent, man! But they pulled it off. Now they lookin' at these college dudes: Dybantsa from BYU, Boozer from Duke, Peterson from Kansas, and Wilson from North Carolina. All freshmen. So, whoever they pick, gotta be the truth. No bustin' this time.
They been trippin' the last few years, all that tankin' and losin'. They swingin' deals tryin' to get Trae Young and Anthony Davis last season. Ain't really worked out how they planned, but you gotta give 'em that, they was lookin at doin’ sumthin’.
The league been tryin' to stop this tankin' mess. Now they talkin' bout changin' the lottery odds so the worst teams don't get no guaranteed advantage. They tryin' to make it like everybody got a chance. Ain't fair to the real fans who be payin' they money to watch trash.
Dybantsa sayin' it's crazy standin' there, that one of these teams gonna be home. Yeah, but DC ain't always the easiest place to call home, especially if you ain't bringin' wins. Gotta bring that energy, that realness, man. DC fans, they ain't playin'.
We been through too many years of garbage basketball, sellin' off the star players, and raisin' ticket prices. It's time for the Wizards to show some love back to the city. Put a real team on the floor. Show some heart, and bring that championship mentality.
Don't be wastin' this pick on nobody soft. Get somebody who gon' come in here and grind. Somebody who gon' rep the city right. Somebody who gon' make DC proud. These other NBA teams, they sleepin' on DC. Time to wake 'em up.
